In December 2014 we had a request for a project from the.church@1330 in Scoresby Victoria, they needed help converting a redundant “bookshop” area into and administration office for the 1330 Facility. This was an ideal opportunity for MMM Build-A-Bond to quickly and easily provide the various wall components needed for this small project. Kim Roediger and Noel Taylor quickly came up with a solution that would work well with their plans and all was agreed, then the Christmas break intervened and the final measure up and CAD design work was scheduled for the first week back in January.
One of the main criteria was to incorporate one of the 5 existing roller shutters into the design so a walk-up reception desk could be accessed from the main foyer. All measured and drawn up the Build-A-Bond team produced the wall sections in a couple of hours, assembling what we could at the MMM Mitcham factory, then off to site on Tuesday Jan 20th where Noel Taylor, Kim Roediger, Keith Eyssens, and Terrence Baxter assembled the final wall frame, and anchored them in place.
In a true partnership with the local Church the 1330 team then went straight to work plastering and finishing off the walls and by 7:30pm that night the plaster was hung ready for finishing off. The team at 1330 had the resources to complete the work once the Build-A-Bond frames were in place.
A great project to kick of 2015 for the Vic Team, Thank you to Noel, Keith, Kim, & Terry for a great effort and quick turnaround, a little over 5 hours on-site from start to finish, including a fantastic lunch from the 1330 cafe!
